AZIYADE is the protagonist in the novel by Pierre Loti and tells the story of a harem during the Ottoman Empire. Later the reader learns that the hero of the author was actually a heroine.

The perfume seems to want to take us into a past filled with the opulence and decadence of ancient civilizations, where the culture was luxurious and sensuality at its peak. AZIYADE is like erotic nectar in its fruity exuberance. The head of the fragrance is made up of pomegranate which was regard in ancient Egypt as an aphrodisiac. Crystallized dates, almonds, oranges and plums further enhance the fragrance of this luscious pomegranate.
The fruitiness continues in the heart with other ingredients, which are also ascribed with aphrodisiac effects.This includes cardamom from Guatemala as well as cinnamon from India. Both are accompanied by the sharp spiciness of ginger, which gives the composition its fire. Cumin from Egypt carries its own share of the seductive character of the fragrance.
All these notes gently lie on the spicy scent of tobacco leaves, which combines with patchouly from India to create a sensual symbiosis. At the same time Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar spreads its sweet scent, which, incidentally, was also regarded by the Aztecs as an aphrodisiac. Lush notes of carob and incense in association with animal notes celebrate the full-bodied scent of Tonkin musk, as labdanum unfolds its slightly resinous odor.
