In 1947 Michel Morsetti delivered an unprecedented interpretation of the mimosa with Farnesiana. To transcribe the fluffy aspect of the flower, he uses cassia, a lesser-known variety, with surprisingly modern accents, which gives the perfume an almost gustatory sweetness.
At the start of the 1940s, Michel Morsetti took over as perfumer. Anxious to remain faithful to the founder of the House, he immersed himself in reading the precious notebooks that were bequeathed to him. Thus was born in 1947 Farnesiana, an unprecedented interpretation of the mimosa. To transcribe its fluffy aspect, he uses cassie, a lesser-known variety of mimosa, with surprisingly modern accents, which gives the perfume an almost gustatory sweetness. From the Latin acaciosa farnesiana, the cassia also inspires its name, evocative of the Palazzo Farnese in Rome and of this art of living made of refinement and Mediterranean softness.
Olfactory composition: Mimosa, bergamot, iris, lily of the valley, ylang ylang, vanilla
