Le Sel d’Issey Eau de Toilette is the new vegan perfume from Issey Miyake, embodying the power of salt. Water, abundant and transparent, carries salt in its flow, elusive and imperceptible. Composed of 95% ingredients of natural origin and French alcohol, Le Sel d'Issey is a fresh and woody aquatic fragrance. A vegan perfume in which the power of salt is revealed by intense, woody masculine notes. With this new eau de toilette, perfumer Quentin Bisch succeeds in giving an odor to odorless salt. In a journey from the sea to the land, this vibrant perfume is revealed through two olfactory poles. The salty pole embodies the sea through a lively salt accord. Of natural origin, marine algae mixes with oak moss, an algae that has migrated to the land, thus creating a link with the second olfactory pole of perfume. Enhancing the freshness of the salt accord, notes of sparkling ginger accompany the woody pole. The woody notes reveal their intensity to give body and texture to the perfume. Natural sand vetiver blends with natural cedar wood, an upcycled ingredient made from sawdust from furniture manufacturing. The invigorating interaction between the salty pole and the woody pole exalts the fragrance, for raw and powerful masculinity.

A designer and refined perfume bottle The timeless and refined perfume bottle captures the light and power of salt. The author of this bottle, Yokujin Yoshioka, an internationally renowned designer, has already collaborated directly with Mr. Miyake and explores the crystallization process. The light gray tone of the perfume is perceived through the transparent bottle which is made with 20% recycled glass* and is reminiscent of the salt which is at the heart of the perfume. At the bottom of the bottle, a half-sphere symbolizes strength and masculinity.

In harmony with the fragrance, the case is adorned with a natural gray tint evoking the purity of salt, while the matte surface echoes the texture of salt crystals. For the first time, the case contains 10% upcycled algae, as well as materials from well-managed FSC™ certified forests and other controlled resources.

Sel d’Issey is available in two formats 50ml and 100ml as well as a 150ml refill.
