THE BRAND

Guy Laroche founds his couture house in Paris in 1957 and also designed his first Haute Couture collection that year. These creations are characterized by the taste for bright colors, embroidery and daring shapes. He wants to modernize Haute Couture and liberate the woman's body by offering comfortable and mysterious clothing collections. A perfume license was signed with the L'Oréal group in 1965 under which he launched emblematic perfumes such as Drakkar Noir for men or Fidji for women.

THE HISTORY OF DRAKKAR NOIR PERFUME

In 1982, Guy Laroche created DRAKKAR NOIR, he wanted it to be powerful, ambitious, conquering and he thus opened a royal path in the world of great men's perfumes. Its name is inspired by the drakkar, the combat boat of the ancient Vikings. This people of fearless and merciless Scandinavian adventurers traveled on their ships from Russia and as far as the Italian peninsula, and even to Alaska long before the great navigators of the Renaissance. The man who wears Drakkar Noir is the heir to this strength and this warrior intelligence. Since 1982, Drakkar Noir has conquered the world and belongs to the great legends of perfumery. It remained the world's leading men's fragrance for almost ten years, and remains very popular in Europe.

ITS BOTTLE

Combining strength and seduction, the perfume bottle for men Drakkar Noir is presented in a simple and minimalist bottle. Tinted black in homage to masculinity, it takes the shape of a square with rounded corners, embodying a man who is both very virile and sensitive.
