BOSS - Hugo Boss

Hugo Boss is one of the most recognized brands, both in the field of fashion and in perfumery. The brand was created in January 1924 by German tailor Hugo Ferdinand Boss in Metzingen. The brand was then renowned for men's ready-to-wear.

Unfortunately the Boss company experienced some difficulties in the 1930s, especially after the death of Hugo Ferdinand Boss in 1948. The company was then taken over by his son-in-law Eugen Holy. But it was not until 1968 that the Hugo Boss house made a meteoric rise, thanks to Eugen's sons, namely Jochen and Uwe Holy. Their idea is to transport high-quality fabrics from Italy, which will be used to make their costumes. The brand then achieved great success, making Boss a major high-end men's ready-to-wear house whose products are exported both in Europe and internationally. In 1975, the Holy brothers appointed designer Werner Baldessarini as artistic director to help manage growing customer demand.

In 1984, the Holy brothers decided to enter the world of perfumery to complete the product ranges of the Hugo Boss brand. They then collaborated with Procter & Gamble to develop the very first perfume from the house of Boss: Boss Number One, which very quickly met with real triumph. It is then followed by other best sellers such as Hugo, Boss Bottled, Boss in Motion, and the latest opus Boss the Scent. Some women's perfumes are also emerging and met with success, such as Boss femme, Boss Nuit or even Hugo Woman.

Hugo Boss has become one of the biggest fashion houses. Its clothes and perfumes are sold around the world, and represent a large part of the international market. Hugo Boss is the very embodiment of masculine elegance and sensuality, modern and always ready to seduce his audience.
